Dr Sarmad Al-Araji is a Consultant Neurologist at The Harborne Hospital. He looks after patients with symptoms of headaches, tremors, blackouts, altered sensation, weakness, balance problems, dizziness and speech difficulties who require a thorough assessment and a precise individualised management plan.
Dr Al-Araji has experience in diagnosing and treating neurological conditions such as Migraine, Epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Myasthenia Gravis and peripheral nerve disorders. He subspecialises in neuroinflammation such as Multiple Sclerosis. He has experience in treating related symptoms such as blurred/double vision, weakness/numbness, unsteadiness, bowel/bladder dysfunction, fatigue and pain.
Dr Al-Araji completed his medical degree (MBChB) from Keele University in 2012 and his Neurology specialty training in the midlands in 2024. Dr Al-Araji earned his PhD in Multiple Sclerosis in 2022. He is currently working at the University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire where he treats NHS patients with a wide range of neurological conditions, teaches undergraduate medical students at Warwick University, and conducts research in Multiple Sclerosis.
