Ms Sabita Nair is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust in the West Midlands, UK. She currently serves as the Clinical Director for Gynaecology and is the Lead for the Gynae‑oncology Unit.
Ms Nair has a broad interest in general gynaecology, encompassing menstrual disorders, fibroids, pelvic pain, ovarian cysts, menopause, and vulval disorders. She has a particular clinical focus on cancer screening and the early management of gynaecological cancers.
Her practice includes the full range of gynaecological care, from diagnostic assessment to surgical management. She is experienced in both open and minimally invasive procedures, including laparoscopy and robotic surgery. In addition, she is highly skilled in diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy and colposcopy. She also provides care for general obstetric patients during her obstetric on‑call commitments.
A passionate educator, Ms Nair regularly teaches Birmingham medical students and contributes to the Birmingham Medical School interview process and OSCE examinations. As a named clinical and educational supervisor, she supports the training and development of both undergraduate and postgraduate trainees, including those undertaking advanced training modules.
Ms Nair is an Advanced Training Skills Module (ATSM) supervisor for Health Education England (West Midlands) in gynae‑oncology, benign open and laparoscopic surgery, hysteroscopy, and is a BSCCP‑accredited colposcopy trainer.
