Dr Rowan Miller is a Consultant Medical Oncologist specialising in gynaecological oncology and clinical trials, with NHS practice at University College London and St Bartholomew’s hospitals. Her clinical and research work focuses on the development of novel therapies for gynaecological cancers and the use of genomics and biomarkers to inform cancer treatment.
She completed her undergraduate medical training at the University of Oxford, followed by clinical training at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals in London. Dr Miller then undertook specialist training in Medical Oncology at University College London. She was subsequently awarded a Cancer Research UK Fellowship and completed a PhD at the Institute of Cancer Research, where her doctoral research evaluated novel treatments for patients with clear cell ovarian cancer.
Dr Miller is actively involved in clinical trials and basic science research. She is a member of the European Society of Medical Oncology Personalized Medicine and Translational Research Committee and led the committee’s consensus recommendation paper on HRD testing in ovarian cancer. Her areas of professional expertise include novel therapies for gynaecological cancer, clinical trial development, and the application of genomics and biomarkers in cancer care.
