Rebecca graduated from Newcastle University, and went on to train in hospital medicine and Sport and Exercise Medicine in Sheffield. She now practices in Manchester, Cumbria and London Her work in exercise medicine involves helping people from elite athletes to new exercisers and treating conditions including relative energy deficiency, under recovery/overtraining, post-viral limitations in exercise, specialising in exercise rehabilitation through cancer and also working in rehabilitation for medical conditions as well as female athlete specific needs through the lifespan. She is able to address the range of musculoskeletal conditions with assessment and investigation before tailoring a management plan for you, including bone stress injuries, tendinopathies and muscle and joint injuries.
Outside of clinic Rebecca works with the UK Sport Institute, Lancashire Cricket and seasonally with The Hundred and Tennis. Rebecca’s current PhD research is in exercise and cancer in Cumbria. She works in Manchester and London and also provides remote consultations Outside of work Rebecca runs and has competed for GB in the marathon and on the mountain, so she can relate to the challenges of injury as well as the benefits of exercise.
