Mr Dwivedi is a Consultant ENT and Head & Neck Surgeon based in central London, providing comprehensive ENT care for both adults and children. His particular expertise lies in the assessment and surgical management of benign and malignant head and neck conditions, including disorders of the thyroid and parathyroid glands, salivary glands, and larynx.
His training encompassed rotations through leading teaching hospitals across London, the South East of England, and East Scotland, where he developed extensive experience in managing a broad spectrum of adult and paediatric ENT conditions. After securing a UK national training number, he completed higher surgical training and was awarded his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT). Prior to this, he gained substantial high-volume surgical experience in India, where he first qualified in medicine. He further advanced his expertise through two specialist fellowships in head and neck surgery at Cambridge University Hospitals and Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth.
Mr Dwivedi enhanced his international perspective by visiting renowned centres of excellence in the United States, Canada, and Australia. These included Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, the University of Alberta, the University of Western Ontario, and the University of Sydney. This global exposure informs and enriches his current clinical practice.
After an initial consultant role at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, he was appointed Consultant ENT and Head & Neck Surgeon at University College London Hospitals (UCLH). In 2019, he was also awarded the title of Honorary Clinical Associate Professor at University College London. He is a core member of the UCLH Head & Neck and Thyroid Multidisciplinary Teams.
Mr Dwivedi is highly active in research, education, and training, having led numerous research initiatives both in the UK and internationally. He completed a multi-award-winning PhD in Head & Neck Surgery at the Royal Marsden Hospital and the Institute of Cancer Research in London, and has received more than 15 national and international awards.
His academic achievements are notable. He has authored over 100 peer-reviewed scientific papers and contributed more than 20 chapters to leading ENT and head and neck textbooks, including *Scott-Brown’s Otolaryngology: Head and Neck Surgery* and *Principles and Practice of Head and Neck Surgery and Oncology*. He has also co-edited two books on head and neck surgery and is co-founder and series editor of the *Head and Neck Cancer Clinics* book series.
He serves on the editorial boards of several specialist journals and has acted as a scientific reviewer for more than 45 peer-reviewed publications, including BMJ, JNCI, Cancer, Head & Neck, Laryngoscope, Oral Oncology, and Surgical Oncology.
Mr Dwivedi regularly contributes to national and international ENT and head and neck courses and conferences, having delivered over 50 invited lectures worldwide. He is a member of more than 20 professional and scientific organisations in the UK and internationally. An accredited trainer, he is closely involved in mentoring trainees and medical students, and has co-supervised a number of MS, MSc, and PhD candidates.
