Miss Qistina Pilson is a Consultant Oculoplastic and Ophthalmic Surgeon at Stockport Foundation Trust, specialising in oculoplastic surgery, medical retina, and general ophthalmology.
After completing her medical degree at University College Dublin, Miss Pilson undertook comprehensive ophthalmic training across Ireland. She further honed her expertise with two esteemed fellowships at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, specialising in oculoplastic and orbital surgery as well as medical retina. Her postgraduate research focused on autoimmune-related ocular surface diseases, integrating both laboratory and clinical elements.
Miss Pilson’s clinical practice centres on achieving the highest standards of care with a focus on both aesthetic outcomes and microsurgical precision. Her expertise includes the management of eyelid disorders, such as lid malpositions and droopy eyelids, lesions, and tumours, alongside advanced periocular reconstructive surgery. She also addresses a variety of aesthetic concerns, including eyelid hooding, droopy brows, and facial rejuvenation. Her work extends to the management of complex conditions such as facial palsy, facial spasms, watery eyes, dry eyes, thyroid eye disease, cataracts, and retinal diseases, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vein occlusions. Additionally, she offers a range of non-surgical aesthetic treatments, including anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers.
Miss Pilson holds a Medical Doctorate from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and was awarded the Barbara Knox Prize by the Irish College of Ophthalmologists. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, the European Board of Ophthalmology, and a member of the British Oculoplastic Surgery Society (BOPSS).
Committed to advancing the field of ophthalmic surgery, Miss Pilson is actively involved in the education and training of medical students, ophthalmology trainees, and other healthcare professionals. She has published extensively in international peer-reviewed journals and regularly presents her research at leading scientific conferences across Europe and the United States.
Her approach combines a keen eye for detail, a passion for aesthetic enhancement, and the meticulous skill required for microsurgery to ensure the best possible outcomes for her patients.
