Prav Praveen

Mr Prav Praveen is a Consultant Oral, Maxillofacial, Head & Neck Surgeon at University Hospital Birmingham and an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Birmingham. Dual‑qualified in medicine and dentistry, he holds fellowships including FRCS, FDSRCS (Eng) and FFDRCSI (Ire), reflecting extensive specialist training.

His clinical practice centres on head and neck oncology, reconstructive surgery and microvascular techniques. He has held major leadership roles, including Clinical Lead for the Pan‑Birmingham Head and Neck Cancer MDT and Board Member of the European Head and Neck Society, as well as previous service as Clinical Service Lead for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at UHB.

Mr Praveen is an active educator and course director for multiple international head and neck surgery programmes. He is regularly invited to lecture globally and has contributed to national and international conferences for over a decade.

A committed researcher, he has served as Principal Investigator for key UK clinical trials such as the HOPON and SEND studies. His academic output includes numerous peer‑reviewed publications, book chapters and award‑winning presentations, with contributions across oncology, reconstructive surgery and surgical innovation.
