Professor Prapa Kangarantnam is a well-respected Consultant Cardiologist with Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. Additionally, he practices with HCA Healthcare offering prompt treatment at a time suitable to his clients. He specialises in the interventional treatment of cardiac arrhythmias and treats patients with palpitations, heart failure and atrial fibrillation. Professor Kanagaratnam was one of the first users of robotic ablation technology and throughout his career has used innovative and advanced technologies to offer first-class treatments and services. 

Professor Kanagaratnam began his career at the prestigious Cambridge University graduating with a Medical Degree before completing specialist training in cardiology and electrophysiology at St Mary's Hospital in London. In 2002 he was awarded his PhD during which he won the British Cardiac Society Young Investigator Prize for his outstanding work. Following this, he received funding from the British Heart Foundation to continue his research and currently is involved in the research of atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia and robotic ablation. He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College, and regularly supervised students during PhD studies.
