About
Professor Onn Min Kon is a Consultant Respiratory Physician and Clinical Lead for the Tuberculosis and Respiratory Infection Service. He also holds the title of Professor of Respiratory Medicine at the National Heart & Lung Institute. Professor Kon's clinical interests include tuberculosis, sarcoidosis, interstitial lung disease, and interventional bronchoscopy. He runs an annual intensive course in tuberculosis care for clinicians and is actively involved in clinical research with over 100 peer-reviewed publications. His research focuses on the diagnosis of tuberculosis and the immunopathology of airway disease. Professor Kon is the current chair of the UK National Multidrug-resistant Tuberculosis (MDRTB) clinical advice service and chairs the UK Joint Tuberculosis Committee.
