Professor Abhilash Jain is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon with expertise in hand, lower limb reconstruction, general plastic surgery, and cosmetic surgery. He trained in Plastic, Reconstructive, Hand, and Aesthetic Surgery in various teaching hospitals throughout London, and completed specialist fellowship training, becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS Plast). He holds an MSc with Distinction from University College London and a PhD from Imperial College London for his research on rheumatoid arthritis affecting the hand. Professor Jain was the first Plastic Surgeon to undertake a Royal College of Surgeon-approved microsurgery fellowship in lower limb reconstruction and has received the HEFCE Clinical Senior Lecturer award. He is currently an Associate Professor of Plastic and Hand Surgery at the University of Oxford and Imperial College London, undertaking large-scale clinical research in Plastic and Hand Surgery. His expertise includes hand surgery, body contouring, facial surgery, surgery for De Quervain's disease, trigger finger release, skin lesions (including moles) and cancers, lumps and bumps including lipomas and cysts, plastic surgery repair of cuts to face, lips and other areas, pretibial lacerations, small burns, skin grafts and flaps, carpal tunnel surgery, Dupuytren's surgery, surgical treatment of arthritis of the hand including the base of the thumb, scar revision, and body contouring.
