Pandora Wright

Dr Pandora Wright is a Consultant Geriatrician and General Physician at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and Imperial College Healthcare Private Care, with over ten years of consultant experience caring for older adults with complex medical needs. She has specialist expertise in frailty, memory concerns and dementia, falls, dizziness, medication optimisation, and complex long-term conditions. Through comprehensive geriatric assessment, she provides holistic, person-centred care to support diagnosis, improve quality of life, maintain independence and prevent functional decline. Her practice also includes healthy ageing, bone health, mobility problems, advanced care planning and capacity assessment, delivered in partnership with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams.

Dr Wright graduated from the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine, University of London, and holds a First Class Honours BSc in the History of Medicine from University College London. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, an experienced medical educator, and has held national leadership roles within the Royal Society of Medicine and British Geriatrics Society. Her research into admission avoidance and integrated care for older people received a Royal Society of Medicine presentation prize. Outside medicine, she enjoys fine art, entertaining, spending time with her family and walking her Labrador.

Special/Research Interests:

Dr Pandora Wright’s research interests centre on frailty, comprehensive geriatric assessment, community geriatrics, admission avoidance and integrated models of care for older adults. She has contributed to research on improving care pathways for older people across hospital, community and care-home settings, with particular interests in healthy ageing, dementia, anaemia, decision-making and maintaining independence. She is Clinical Adviser to the Imperial College MinderCare study, supporting the development of innovative home-monitoring technology for people living with dementia. Her work has been recognised with a Royal Society of Medicine presentation prize and has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals including _Age and Ageing_ and the _BMJ_.
