Ozan Demir

Dr Ozan Demir is a Consultant Cardiologist with specialist expertise in coronary and structural heart disease. His clinical practice covers the assessment and management of chest pain, coronary artery disease, aortic stenosis, valvular heart disease, hypertension, hypercholesterolaemia, palpitations, breathlessness, and preventive cardiology. He regularly performs advanced interventional procedures, including coronary angioplasty with stent insertion and transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). He currently practises at the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre and also provides private consultations in London.

He qualified in medicine from King’s College London (Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Medical School) in 2009 and completed specialist cardiology training at leading London teaching hospitals, including Hammersmith Hospital and St Thomas’ Hospital. Alongside his clinical training, Dr Demir obtained an MSc in Interventional Cardiology from Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan. He later completed a PhD in Cardiovascular Medicine at King’s College London, where his doctoral research focused on personalised precision management of coronary artery disease.

Dr Demir subsequently undertook advanced interventional fellowships in coronary and structural heart disease at internationally recognised centres, including a year-long fellowship in Milan, followed by senior fellowships in London. He was appointed Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre, where he is involved in service development initiatives aimed at improving patient care.

He has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications in high-impact cardiology journals, including the European Heart Journal, JACC, and Circulation, and remains actively engaged in academic research collaborations.
