Dr Omay Lee is a Consultant Clinical Neurophysiologist with a extensive experience in all areas of Neurophysiology. Her NHS work as a Consultant is at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust London and Royal Surrey County Hospital Guildford. She is the Consultant lead physician for Neurophysiology at the Royal Surrey Hospital and also oversees the electrophysiology diagnostic service across the entire Surrey Heartlands region. She is also an honorary senior lecturer at the University of Surrey Medical School. Her areas of interest include peripheral nerve problems, neuromuscular disorders, radiculopathies, complex epilepsies and encephalopathies.
Dr Lee undertook her undergraduate medical degree at the University of Cambridge, completing her clinical training in London. She undertook neurology training in Edinburgh and undertook a clinical research fellowship at the Institute of Genetics at the University of Edinburgh, and then completed her specialist training in Clinical Neurophysiology in London.
She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians UK and has many professional members hips and affiliations including British Society of Clinical Neurophysiology (BSCN), Association of British Neurologists (ABN) and British Peripheral Neuropathy Society (BPNS). Dr Lee's clinical interests include peripheral nerve problems, nerve injuries, hereditary nerve and muscle disorders, neuromuscular disorders, radiculopathies, complex epilepsies, and encephalopathies.
