About

Dr El-Atabbi is a Consultant Gynaecologist with advanced specialist training in Urogynaecology and Hysteroscopy, currently working at the Northern Care Alliance, Salford Care Organisation. With over 18 years of NHS experience, she is committed to providing compassionate, personalised care and helping women feel comfortable, informed, and supported throughout their treatment journey. She have a specialist interest in the assessment and management of pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence. Dr El-Atabbi offers a full range of treatment options, from conservative and non-surgical approaches, including pessary care and lifestyle advice, to advanced surgical treatments when appropriate.

Dr El-Atabbi performs urodynamic investigations to diagnose bladder problems such as overactive bladder and stress urinary incontinence, allowing her to develop an individualised treatment plan tailored to each patient's needs and lifestyle. In addition to her specialist practice, she has extensive experience in caring for women with a wide range of general gynaecological conditions, including menopausal symptoms, endometriosis,, ovrain cysts, heavy or painful periods, fibroids, pelvic infections, chronic pelvic pain and vulval conditions. Dr El-Atabbi understands that many of these conditions can have a significant impact on daily life, and she believes in taking the time to listen carefully to her patients, explain their options clearly, and work together to achieve the best possible outcome. Teaching and training are also an important part of her career. Having completed formal training in medical education, she is actively involved in teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate doctors. As the Specialty Training Lead for Gynaecology at Salford, She supports the education and development of trainee gynaecologists while helping to maintain the highest standards of patient care. Dr El-Atabbi is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), the British Society of Urogynaecology (BSUG), and the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE). These memberships reflect my commitment to maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice and staying up to date with the latest advances in women's healthcare. Her aim is to provide expert, evidence-based care in a friendly and reassuring environment, ensuring every woman feels heard, respected, and confident in the decisions made about her health.
