About
Mr. Nirooshun Rajendran is an Honorary Associate Professor at the Blizard Institute at Queen Mary's University of London and Consultant Colorectal Surgeon and Lead for Colorectal Surgery and Robotic Surgery. He qualified at St George's Medical School, University of London in 2001 and completed his basic surgical training there. In 2011, he was awarded an MD (Res) for his work on inflammatory bowel disease. He completed his higher surgical training at the South West Thames rotation in the London Deanery, gaining experience in robotic-assisted and laparoscopic surgery. In 2015, he completed a Surgical Oncology and Colorectal Surgery fellowship in Melbourne, Australia and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Mr. Rajendran's clinical interests include robotic/laparoscopic lower GI surgery, colon cancer, rectal cancer, peritoneal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, laparoscopic ileoanal pouch surgery, and cytoreductive and HIPEC surgery.
