Emily is a Registered Midwife specialising in Hypnobirth and Complementary therapies for pregnancy and birth. After Graduating from Leeds University in 2002 Emily worked within the NHS until 2017 working in all areas of Maternity care with a focus on antenatal care and parent education and she is the founder of Bump and Me providing Hypnobirth Education in groups and on-line.

Having worked in the private sector alongside Consultants from St Mary’s Hospital Manchester and seeing the difference true continuity of care can make to a family’s experience. Emily along with Consultant Obstetrician Dr Chan set up Private Maternity Care Cheshire in 2019. Supporting women and their families through their pregnancy journey from early pregnancy to six weeks after birth in full bespoke packages at The Portland Hospital Outpatients in Hale.

Emily is also able to visit Mums to be within their own homes for Antenatal and Postnatal care frequently combining her skills in acupuncture, reflexology, placenta remedies/encapsulation and aromatherapy alongside her midwifery to ease conditions such as nausea, heartburn, breech and, postnatal problems.

In addition to full packages of care, Emily and the Obstetricians are able to offer top up appointments to complement your NHS care. Tests such as NIPT screening, Group B Strep, B12 testing and additional scans for reassurance, 2nd opinion Consultant appointments and midwife visits before or after your baby arrives.

Emily has 4 children of her own, two step daughters and lives with them, her partner and her sausage dog Cuba in Mobberley.
