Mrs Lindsay Hill is a Sports Podiatrist based in the North West, with clinics across Lancashire, Cheshire and Greater Manchester. She graduated in Podiatry from the University of Salford in 1998 and has worked within the NHS since qualifying. In 2003, she completed a Master’s degree in Sports Injury and Therapy at Manchester Metropolitan University, after which she established her own private practice, Axis Podiatry, specialising in sports podiatry, biomechanics and orthotic therapy. In 2013, she completed her doctorate research investigating the use of foot orthoses for low back pain, with this work subsequently published in a peer-reviewed journal.
Mrs Hill has extensive experience working with professional sport, including several league football clubs and Super League rugby teams, and she was also employed by the FA as podiatrist to the England women’s football squads. As a runner herself, she has a particular interest in the assessment and treatment of runners. Her approach focuses on identifying the underlying causes of recurring injuries rather than simply addressing symptoms, and she also provides screening for injury prevention. She advises on whether orthotic therapy is appropriate and offers guidance on footwear selection based on individual foot type, alongside biomechanical assessment, gait analysis, orthotic prescription, squad screening, and the management of sports injuries and lower back pain.
