Mrs Katy Clifford is a Consultant Gynaecologist with extensive experience in the field. She qualified from Cambridge University and Westminster in 1985, and then trained in obstetrics and gynaecology in London, at Queen Charlotte's, King's College, and St Mary's Hospitals. She gained the Gold Medal in the MRCOG examination in 1990 and went on to attain an MD with a thesis on the endocrinology of early pregnancy loss. Appointed as a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2000, she also runs an outpatient hysteroscopy service for women with menstrual disorders and other abnormal bleeding. She has an interest in education, training post-graduates, and assessing junior doctors at Imperial College, London, and the NW Thames region. Her areas of expertise include hysteroscopy, HRT, well woman checks, general gynaecology, menopause, menstrual irregularities, antenatal care, and polycystic ovary syndrome.
