About
Prof Vik Khullar is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist with over 30 years of experience in the field. He is an authority on bladder, pelvic floor, and prolapse issues. Prof Khullar lectures nationally and internationally and is considered a leading figure in this field among his peers. He publishes widely and runs a large and successful research programme. He is a Reader at Imperial College, London, and was made a professor in recognition of his expertise.Prof Khullar established the Department of Urogynaecology (bladder and pelvic floor disorders) at St Mary's, receiving referrals locally, nationally, and worldwide. He has served as vice-chairman of BSUG, an expert advisor for NICE, and vice-chairman of the NIHR women's specialist committee. His clinical expertise includes vaginal prolapse, uterine prolapse, urinary problems in POTS and EDS (benign joint hypermobility), elective caesarean sections, bladder, female urology, incontinence (urine/faeces), pelvic floor damage, urinary tract infections, and urinary incontinence.
