Mr. Vijay Ramani is a Consultant Urological Surgeon. He has been responsible for the introduction and advancement of robotic surgery, regularly undertaking robot-assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy on patients with localised adenocarcinoma prostate. His specialist interests lie in prostate, bladder, renal, testis, and complex pelvic and retroperitoneal cancers. His specialist operations include radical cystectomy and neobladder reconstruction, partial nephrectomy for small renal tumours, radical nephrectomy, and complex inferior vena cava surgery. He also undertakes surgery for testis cancer, including primary orchidectomy and retroperitoneal lymph node dissection. Outside his clinical work, Mr. Ramani lectures at the European School of Urology, giving lectures regionally, nationally, and internationally on urological cancers. He regularly recruits patients to trials through the specialist MDT setup and consults on the prostate and issues surrounding men's health.
