Dr. Samuel Ford serves as a Consultant Surgeon at The Harborne Hospital specializing in general, upper gastrointestinal, and sarcoma surgeries. Dr. Ford completed his training in general and upper GI surgery in the South West before pursuing advanced fellowships in sarcoma surgery at Birmingham and Milan, culminating in a PhD in cancer biology from the University of Birmingham as a Cancer Research UK Clinical Research Fellow.
Dr. Ford is deeply engaged in research endeavors, focusing on enhancing outcomes for patients with sarcoma and neuroendocrine tumors. Currently, he oversees the work of two PhD students and is initiating international randomized trials. Apart from his supervisory roles, Dr. Ford has authored numerous papers on sarcoma management and contributed to global consensus statements on sarcoma and gastrointestinal stromal tumor management. He also holds an Honorary Senior Lecturer position at the University of Birmingham and participates actively in the Neuroendocrine Tumor Expert Advisory Group and EORTC board for Sarcoma.
