Mr Rohit Madhav is a highly experienced Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon with specialist expertise in complex foot and ankle surgery. He has been on the GMC Specialist Register since 2005 and has trained extensively in both the UK and internationally. His background includes over eight years as a consultant at University College London Hospitals NHS Trust.
Mr Madhav runs a well-established private practice in the heart of London’s Harley Street Medical District and was a founding partner of The London Orthopaedic Clinic. He is widely recognised for his expertise in diagnosing and treating lower limb conditions, particularly disorders of the foot and ankle. His areas of practice include bunions, hammer toes, Achilles and other tendon disorders, arthritis, fractures, cartilage and ligament injuries, and joint replacement surgery. He is especially skilled in arthroscopic and other minimally invasive surgical techniques.
He serves as Foot and Ankle Surgeon to West End stage and performing arts professionals, the Royal Ballet School and Central School of Ballet, and is part of the medical support teams for NFL and NBA events in London. In addition, Mr Madhav is a mentor and trainer to established consultant surgeons in minimally invasive bunion, foot and ankle surgery.
Mr Madhav graduated from St George’s Hospital Medical School, London, in 1990 and subsequently joined the Imperial College London Orthopaedic Specialist Training Programme. He obtained his FRCS (Trauma & Orthopaedics) through the Intercollegiate Royal College of Surgeons of Great Britain and, following completion of specialist training, was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at University College London Hospitals NHS Trust in 2004. In 2012, he moved into full-time private practice.
Alongside his clinical work, Mr Madhav has contributed extensively to research and education, with numerous publications to his name, and is a frequent invited lecturer. He also convenes the long-established London Regional Foot and Ankle Surgeons’ problem-case meetings, held on alternate months.
