Mr Raj Lakhani

Mr Raj Lakhani is a Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon (adult and paediatric) with a specialist interest in Rhinology and Facial Plastic Surgery. 

Mr Lakhani completed his undergraduate medical training at St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry. He was awarded the Drapers Company Prize for academic achievement and the Research Advisory Board Award for his intercalated Bachelor's degree in Sports & Exercise Medicine. To further his skills he trained in specialist tertiary and quaternary rhinology centres including Guy’s & St Thomas’ and St George's Hospitals. Further specialist training was undertaken through observerships at the world-renowned Hirslanden Klink, Zurich and the Clinica del Viso in Milan. Mr Lakhani further enhanced his skills through an additional year of dedicated specialist training in rhinology and facial plastic surgery at St George's Hospital.

Mr Lakhani has developed a strong interest in clinical research. He has published almost 30 peer-reviewed articles and has given 50 scientific presentations worldwide. He has been awarded prizes for his clinical research including the ‘Best Short Paper’ prize from the Royal Society of Medicine. In 2016 he was shortlisted for the Royal Society of Medicine national ‘Trainee of the Year’ award.
