Mr. Paul Ziprin is a Clinical Senior Lecturer and Consultant General Surgeon. He performs private work at several prestigious clinics and specializes in general surgery, particularly the investigation and treatment of hernias and the surgical management of gallstones. His subspecialty interests include laparoscopic (keyhole), endoscopy, and colorectal surgery. This includes the investigation of patients with rectal bleeding, management of haemorrhoids and fissures, and treatment of colorectal and anal cancer. After graduating in medicine from the University of Wales, Mr. Ziprin undertook General Surgery training and was awarded an MD by the University of London and a Fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons in 2003. He has an active interest in research into the role of circulating tumour cells in predicting outcomes in colon cancer surgery, simulation in surgical education, and novel biomarkers in anal cancer. Mr. Ziprin takes a patient-centred approach to care and works closely with a multidisciplinary team.
