Mr. Paul Ziprin is a Clinical Senior Lecturer and Consultant General Surgeon, recognised for his expertise in general surgery and his patient-centred approach to care. He performs private work at several prestigious clinics and specialises in the investigation and treatment of hernias and the surgical management of gallstones. His subspecialty interests include laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, endoscopy, and colorectal surgery. This encompasses the investigation and treatment of rectal bleeding, haemorrhoids, fissures, and colorectal and anal cancer.
After graduating in medicine from the University of Wales, Mr. Ziprin pursued comprehensive training in General Surgery and was awarded an MD by the University of London. In 2003, he achieved Fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons. With a passion for advancing the field, Mr. Ziprin maintains an active research portfolio, focusing on the role of circulating tumour cells in predicting outcomes in colon cancer surgery, innovative biomarkers in anal cancer, and the use of simulation in surgical education.
