Mr Mohan Kumar is a Consultant Gynaecologist at Good Hope Hospital, part of the University Hospitals of Birmingham NHS Trust. He has a particular focus on complex gynaecological procedures and oncology. After completing his specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the West Midlands in 2011, he pursued further expertise in advanced laparoscopic (minimally invasive) surgery through training at leading institutions both in the UK and abroad.
His clinical practice centres around total laparoscopic hysterectomy. He also has significant experience in treating severe endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain using laparoscopic methods.
At Good Hope Hospital, Mr. Kumar has developed a dedicated clinic for pelvic pain and endometriosis, which has been evaluated through audits showing excellent outcomes in patient satisfaction.
In addition to his subspecialties, he manages a wide range of general gynaecological conditions such as ovarian cysts, menstrual problems, uterine polyps, and fibroids. He is also highly skilled in operative hysteroscopy, addressing issues like submucosal fibroids, uterine septum, polyps, and performing endometrial ablations.
