Mr. Maurice Lau is a leading Consultant Urologist with areas of interest including urological cancers, men's health, and haematuria. He offers a variety of treatments including open radical prostatectomy, laparoscopic nephrectomies, and robot-assisted laparoscopic prostatectomies. Mr. Lau was instrumental in establishing a transperineal ultrasound-guided template biopsy of the prostate to improve diagnostic rates. He began his career with a BSc in Medical Sciences from the University of St. Andrews, followed by a Medical Degree from Manchester University in 1988. He completed his training in the North West and became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons. He was appointed Consultant Urological Surgeon in 2000 and later worked solely in oncology.
