Matt Ives

Mr Matt Ives is a consultant plastic surgeon with extensive experience, practising at St Mary’s Hospital (The Lindo Wing) and St John and St Elizabeth Hospital. He also has a strong clinical interest in the treatment of acute and chronic wounds, including burns. His expertise covers skin surgery for both benign and malignant lesions, and he has significant experience in scar revision procedures.

Mr Ives completed his medical degree at Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ School of Medicine, where he also undertook an additional bachelor’s degree in immunobiology and pathology. He then progressed through basic surgical training before undertaking specialist plastic surgery training across several London centres, including the well-known plastic surgery unit at East Grinstead. Throughout his career, he has consistently sought to broaden his expertise, including completing a hand surgery fellowship at St Andrews and a reconstructive fellowship at the major trauma centre at St Mary’s Hospital.

He was subsequently appointed as a consultant at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
