Mr. M. S. Absar graduated from the Calcutta National Medical College and was awarded a degree in medicine at the University of Calcutta in 1993. He undertook postgraduate training in surgery, obtaining a Masters in Surgery from Utkal University in 1999. After moving to the UK, he obtained his fellowship in surgery (FRCS) from the Royal College of Edinburgh in 2001. He completed his FRCS in General Surgery in 2007 and enhanced his oncoplastic skills with a year at Addenbrookes. Mr. Absar took a consultant post and has published numerous papers and presented at national and international conferences. He started the sentinel lymph node biopsy for auxiliary staging in early breast cancers and focuses on oncoplastic breast conservation and breast reconstruction. He provides services for benign and malignant breast conditions, including cosmetic and corrective breast surgery, and offers a weekly breast Triple Assessment Clinic.
