Mr John Rubin is a Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon with extensive experience across general ENT, with a recognised subspecialist focus on voice disorders and laryngeal surgery. Alongside his private practice, he works at the Royal National Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital, part of University College London Hospitals, where he serves as Chair of the Consultant Forum. He also holds an Honorary Consultant appointment at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in recognition of his specialist expertise. Mr Rubin treats a broad range of ENT conditions, with particular emphasis on disorders affecting the voice and larynx.
Following completion of his medical degree, Mr Rubin undertook an extensive rotational training programme in otolaryngology and was awarded Fellowships with both the Royal College of Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons. He has an established academic profile and is widely published, having authored numerous books, journal articles and professional publications throughout his career. He is a past President of both the British Voice Association and the Collegium Medicorum Theatri, and was a founding member of the European Academy of Voice and the British Laryngological Association. His clinical practice encompasses laryngeal surgery, general ENT surgery and the assessment and management of voice problems. He holds the qualifications MD, FRCS and FACS.
