About

Mr Gerald Gui is a consultant breast surgeon at HCA Healthcare UK Women’s Health Centre at 27-29 Harley Street. Mr Gui is specialised in breast surgery, including breast reconstruction surgery and oncoplastic breast conservation surgery, as well as early diagnosis of breast cancer, breast cancer genetics and risk management for patients with increased risk from genetic or familial factors.

Mr Gui earned his medical degree from University College and Middlesex Hospitals Medical School in 1986, before completing his higher surgical training in surgical oncology at St Bartholomew’s and St George’s Hospitals in London. He received further training in surgical oncology in the UK and USA, becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1990 and of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1991, and a Travelling Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, including to Emory University, Atlanta, USA. In 1996, Mr Gui was awarded his master of surgery degree from the University of London. Following this, he was appointed Consultant Surgeon at the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, a post he maintains alongside his private practice.

Mr Gui is actively engaged in academia and training future surgeons. He is a teacher and examiner at the University of London and teaches post-graduate courses for advanced breast trainees at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Alongside this, Mr Gui runs masterclasses in breast reconstruction at the Royal Marsden Hospital, attended by surgeons from across the UK, Europe, and Middle East.

Mr Gui serves as an honorary senior lecturer at the Institute of Cancer Research in London and is involved in the latest research in breast cancer and surgery, with over 100 published manuscripts. He is also a member of the British Breast Group, British Association of Surgical Oncology, British Oncological Association and the Association of Breast Surgery.
