Mr Faheez Mohamed is an extremely qualified and experienced Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon. He graduated from the highly esteemed University of Edinburgh and undertook surgical training in the North East of England. His skills and experience were recognised when he was awarded a Doctorate in Medicine by the University of Newcastle based on his research into intraperitoneal chemotherapy at Washington Cancer Institute, USA under Dr Paul Sugarbaker's supervision. His area of special interest is Cytoreductive Surgery and Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) for the treatment of peritoneal malignancies.

He is highly involved in both clinical and basic science research concerning peritoneal malignancies. He has also served on the Research and Audit Committee of the Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland. Additionally, he is Vice Chair of the EuroPMP international research consortium. Furthermore, he serves as Medical Advisor to Pseudomyxoma Survivor - a charity established to support patients who suffer from Pseudomyxoma Peritonei.
