Mr. Allen is a leading Consultant Urological Surgeon. After completing his urology training in London, he undertook a fellowship at University College focusing on the diagnosis and management of complex urinary tract stones. Appointed as a consultant in November 2011, he runs weekly outpatient clinics, flexible cystoscopy lists, and operating sessions. He deals with a broad range of urological issues including urinary symptoms, blood in the urine, elevated PSA, scrotal swellings, prostatitis, and kidney stones. Mr. Allen is involved in teaching and training medical students and junior doctors. His research focuses on the treatment and prevention of kidney stones, and he has given numerous international presentations and written multiple papers. His areas of expertise include flexible cystoscopy, rigid cystoscopy, rigid ureteroscopy, flexible ureterorenoscopy, supine percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL), circumcision, vasectomy, epididymal cyst removal, hydrocele repair, general and diagnostic urology, renal and ureteric stones, lower urinary tract dysfunction, prostate disorders, haematuria, and scrotal abnormalities.
