Mr Chethan Jayadev is a Consultant Orthopaedic Knee Surgeon from the renowned Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore. He specialises in all aspects of knee surgery, from sports injuries and knee preservation to complex joint replacements. Mr Jayadev has experience in high-volume surgery including robotic-assisted surgery. He is a meticulous surgeon who offers his patients a highly personalised service using the latest evidence-based treatments. He also takes a patient-centric approach to care and is a strong advocate of patient choice.
Mr Jayadev gained his medical qualifications from Oxford University before completing higher surgical training in Trauma & Orthopaedics at the Royal London Hospital. He went on to complete a DPhil (PhD) in knee osteoarthritis. Following this, Mr Jayadev pursued a number of surgical fellowships including a hip & knee fellowship at Gold Coast University Hospital (Australia) and specialist knee surgery fellowships at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford, and the Royal Berkshire Hospital.
Mr Jayadev is actively involved in research and has a number of publications in medical journals. His current focus is on knee osteoarthritis, cartilage regeneration, and kinematic alignment in primary knee replacement. He has presented his work at national and international conferences and has authored several book chapters.
