Brian Sommerlad

Mr. Brian Sommerlad is an honorary consultant plastic surgeon specializing in cleft lip and palate surgery. He has been involved in developing the operating microscope for cleft palate repair and refining surgery for the repair of cleft palate muscles. Mr. Sommerlad works with cleft teams in various countries, assisting in the development of multidisciplinary teams. He is an honorary member of the Indian Society of Cleft Lip, Palate, and Craniofacial Anomalies and a past president of both the British Association of Plastic Surgeons and the Craniofacial Society of Great Britain and Ireland.
