Mr Arunmoy Chakravorty is a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon with Cosmetic Breast Surgery accreditation from the Royal College of Surgeons, UK. He serves as Clinical Lead within the NHS Breast Units at Mount Vernon and Hillingdon Hospital and also holds the position of Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College London. His surgical experience includes training in the UK and internationally, with additional experience gained in India, Germany, and Austria.
He has specialist expertise in oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgery and completed an Oncoplastic Fellowship at The Royal Marsden Hospital in London. Mr Chakravorty provides one-stop breast clinics and breast cancer management, with his clinical outcomes regularly audited and published. His practice also includes cosmetic breast surgery, and he runs a tertiary referral service for breast cancer and complex revision breast procedures. In addition, he manages benign breast conditions and performs breast augmentation, breast reduction, mastopexy, gynecomastia surgery, and breast reconstruction. His clinical approach prioritises optimal oncological clearance while aiming to achieve the best possible cosmetic outcomes.
Mr Chakravorty obtained his medical qualification prior to becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1999. He completed specialist training in general and breast surgery at Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford and The Royal Marsden in Sutton, before undertaking advanced oncoplastic training at The Royal Marsden Hospital in London. He also undertook senior residency training in plastic surgery at a tertiary centre in New Delhi, India, and completed additional training placements in Vienna and Düsseldorf, Germany.
Alongside his clinical work, Mr Chakravorty is actively involved in surgical education. He is a tutor for the MS Oncoplastics programme at East Anglia University and serves as an examiner for the Intercollegiate Board of the Royal College of Surgeons and MS Oncoplastics. He holds the title of Honorary Adjunct International Professor with AHERF in New Delhi, India, and has served as a Council Member of the Aesthetic Committee of the Association of Breast Surgery in the UK.
