Mr. Amgad Nakhla is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in enhanced recovery and minimally invasive surgery. He has extensive experience performing hip and knee replacements and arthroscopic knee surgery. After graduating in Medicine from Cairo University in 2000, he completed a Master's degree in Trauma & Orthopaedics, obtained membership with the Royal College of Surgeons in 2006, and became a Fellow in 2008. He worked as a Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College London for three years before completing sub-speciality training in hip and knee surgery. Mr. Nakhla undertook a Fellowship at Charing Cross, followed by two further Fellowships at Nottingham University, gaining significant experience in complex primary and revision hip and knee surgery. He is actively involved in research in his sub-speciality, has been published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, and is regularly invited to present at national and international conferences. Outside of work, Mr. Nakhla is a keen cyclist, skier, and sailor, and enjoys spending time with his family hiking and kayaking. He speaks German and is fluent in English and Arabic.
