Mr Michael Adamczyk is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Endometriosis Surgeon specialising in Advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery for excision of endometriosis.
He practices at HCA Healthcare at The Lister Hospital and is integral part of the CEMIG London team. His NHS practice is at the Centre for Endometriosis and Minimally Invasive Gynaecology (CEMIG) at Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (ASPH) in Surrey. ASPH is one of the UK's busiest NHS BSGE-accredited centres for treating severe endometriosis.
He obtained his specialist training from Kent, Surrey, and Sussex Deanery. In addition, he completed a high-volume fellowship in advanced endometriosis surgery and a recognised training scheme in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery for the Excision of Benign Disease (Endometriosis) with the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, both under the supervision of renowned endometriosis expert Mr Shaheen Khazali.
Mr Adamczyk has been trained in Neuropelveology and received his Level 1 (2019) and Level 2 (2022) accreditation from the International Society of Neuropelveology (ISON), making him one of the very few surgeons internationally with formal training in treating patients with pelvic nerve problems.
He has received National and International prizes, including the prestigious Golden Telescope Award from the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE) in 2022. Additionally, he was elected as a council member overseeing the trainee portfolio for the BSGE (2019-2023). He was re-elected as a senior council member in 2023, demonstrating his remarkable continuous commitment to the field.
Over the years, Mr Adamczyk has significantly contributed to training in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery by setting up and teaching on multiple regional, national, and international courses.
His practice and focused interests almost solely include endometriosis, pelvic pain, and treatments for patients with pelvic nerve pathology.
Most importantly, Mr Adamczyk believes in patient-centered, tailored multidisciplinary care to ensure patients voices are heard and acted upon.
