Miss Mel Field is a Consultant Renal Transplant, Vascular, and Parathyroid Surgeon. She completed her medical education at Birmingham University Medical School in 2002. Following this, she pursued surgical training in the West Midlands and conducted extensive research leading to an MD in the field of Biomarkers in Renal Transplantation.

In 2016, Miss Field assumed the role of Consultant Renal Transplant, Vascular, and Parathyroid Surgeon. She holds the position of chair in the regional parathyroid Multidisciplinary Team (MDT). Miss Field is actively involved in research focusing on patient-reported outcome measures (PROMS), vascular access, and parathyroid surgery. She also has a keen interest in medical education, currently serving as the Foundation Training Program Director.
