About

Mr Marios Konstantinos Tasoulis is a Consultant Breast Surgeon at the Women’s Health Centre at 27-29 Harley Street and a member of the Leaders in Breast Surgery practice, both part of HCA Healthcare UK. He specialises in oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgery and has a special interest in surgical de-escalation after neoadjuvant systemic therapy and in the management of breast implants associated anaplastic large cell lymphoma.

Mr Tasoulis studied medicine at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens where he also completed his PhD in 2012 and his surgical training, having won scholarships for both his undergraduate and postgraduate studies.

He was awarded a fellowship from the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO) and worked as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Breast Unit at Yale University before joining The Royal Marsden Hospital. 

Mr Tasoulis is lead trainer at The Royal Marsden Hospital for the National Advanced Training in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery Fellowship, and mentors young oncology professionals. He teaches at The Royal College of Surgeons of England and is in the Faculty of Surgical Trainers of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He is also an examiner for the European Board Exam in Breast Surgery. 

While serving on the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Trainee Council, he helped to develop the “Education essentials for Oncology Fellows Year 1”, and has joined the Item Writing Task Force for the ASCO’s Medical Oncology Self-Evaluation Program. In 2023 he graduated from the prestigious ASCO Education Scholars Program for leaders in medical education. 

Mr Tasoulis is actively engaged in research, having been Chief Investigator and Local Principal Investigator on several international studies, as well as involved in international clinical trials steering committees. He has also authored multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals, and is the associate editor for breast cancer in the European Journal of Surgical Oncology (EJSO). He is regularly invited to speak at scientific meetings across Europe, Australia, Asia and South America.
