Lucie Ormerod

Dr Lucie Ormerod graduated from St George’s Hospital Medical School in 2003 after obtaining a first class honours degree in Physiology and Clinical Neuroscience beginning what would become a career long passion for the mind body connection and a ‘joined up’ approach to health. She is an experienced GP having worked for almost twenty years in both the NHS and private sectors. She offers personalised, unhurried consultations for individuals and families.

Before training as a GP, she worked in hospital Obstetrics and Gynaecology, forming the foundation of her expertise in women’s health. She recently completed her Certificate of Menopause Management to expand her understanding of perimenopause, menopause and HRT. She sees midlife as a key opportunity to improve long-term health outcomes, and improve vitality and life satisfaction. She is passionate about delivering patient-centred healthcare and looking for ways to optimise health, and enjoys finding the best solutions for her patients through open and honest conversations.

She is an excellent communicator – and when not being a GP – she is a corporate wellbeing speaker delivering talks to managers and their teams on a range of health topics. She is an advocate for perimenopause and menopause awareness training; and the impact this has on women’s working lives and careers, is a particular passion. She also enjoys interests in novel areas of medicine and research such as the developing understanding of the gut microbiome, the gut-brain axis and ways to improve metabolic health and maximise health span.

She has three children and enjoys encouraging them to maximise life’s opportunities, and embrace the best version of themselves through sport, culture and community.
