Dr George graduated with distinction from the University of Cambridge, and completed her residency in Cambridge, Nottingham and Birmingham. She undertook a PhD in Cancer Sciences as part of her training, and retains an academic interest. She currently works as a consultant at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham where she is the lead for haematological cancers in teenagers and young adults. Her special interest is in teenage and adolescent medicine, lymphoma and acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, and she sits on the national panels for these. When she isn’t working she enjoys running, reading and spending time with her family.
