Leila Bentley

Leila is an experienced Counselling Psychologist providing psychotherapy for a diverse range of individual adults. Leila is adept and accomplished in supporting her clients with anxiety, OCD, phobias, depression, trauma, attachment difficulties, adjustment, prolonged grief, and neurodiversity.

She draws primarily from psychodynamic and attachment theories, and specialises in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), which can be beneficial for individuals struggling with difficulties rooted in attachment trauma, as well as those who have not responded to other forms of therapy. Leila also utilises BWRT (BrainWorking Recursive Therapy) methodology which works with the preconscious part of the brain to interrupt and overwrite unwanted neural pathways.

Leila works collaboratively with her clients to foster a deeper understanding of personal experience, so that painful difficulties are resolved and reconnection to inner resources support healing and growth.
