Konstantinos Kamposioras

I have worked as a medical oncology consultant since 2010, specialising in gastrointestinal malignancies since 2013. My expertise lies in the oncological management of patients with colorectal cancer, including the administration of chemotherapy and immunotherapy. I am committed to working alongside my patients and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care. I am a substantive consultant medical oncologist at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust. I am a core member of the colorectal cancer multidisciplinary team (MDT) for the south-east sector of Greater Manchester and a member of the metastatic hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) and peritoneal MDT for Greater Manchester. I am also the acute oncology lead for Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. My main research interests lie in clinical and translational research, real-world data and service improvement. In 2010, I was awarded the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO) Translational Research Fellowship, which led to a

PhD. I also hold a master’s degree in public health from the University of Manchester. I am a reviewer for oncology journals and have authored or co-authored over 100 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. Throughout my career, I have chaired and participated in various national and international committees. I was the Clinical Lead for Acute Oncology in Greater Manchester and the former Chair of the ESMO Working Group. I am currently a member of the ESMO Resilience Task Force, the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) Gastrointestinal Cancer Group and the European Commission Initiative on Colorectal Cancer. I am a strong advocate of improving patient care through professional development and putting individuals at the heart of decision-making processes.
