About

Mr. Kanai Garala is a highly trained consultant hip and knee replacement surgeon and pelvic trauma specialist at University Hospitals Birmingham. With double fellowship training in hip and knee replacements and pelvic trauma, his clinical focus is on complex hip and knee surgeries, revision hip surgery, and the treatment of pelvic and acetabular (hip socket) trauma. Mr. Garala has also completed a robotic surgery fellowship at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham, where he gained expertise in using two advanced robotic systems—MAKO and ROSA.

Mr. Garala graduated from medical school with a double honours degree and has successfully passed both the MRCP (medical) and FRCS Orth (surgical) exams, ensuring the highest standard of care for his patients. He has published over 20 peer-reviewed research papers and regularly presents his work to national and international audiences, receiving recognition for his contributions. He is an active member of the British Hip Society, the British Orthopaedic Association, and the Orthopaedic Trauma Society.
