Dr Jaimal Kothari is a Consultant Haematologist and Haemato-oncologist with a private practice located in Leaders in Oncology Care, Harley Street, London, as well as in GenesisCare in Oxford and Windsor. He specialises in the treatment of multiple myeloma, lymphomas, and the assessment and treatment of abnormal blood counts.
Dr Kothari obtained his First Class Honours Degree in medical sciences from the University of Cambridge before completing his medical training at the University of Oxford. He completed his haematology training at University College Hospital London (UCLH), which included an advanced fellowship on the comprehensive treatment of myeloma and associated conditions.
In addition to his private practice, he holds a consultant post at Oxford University Hospitals and leads clinical trial research for malignant haematology. He is also the clinical lead for myeloma and associated disorders across The Thames Valley, covering a population of over 2.5 million people.
Dr Kothari is a primary investigator in numerous clinical trials for new treatments in myeloma and lymphoma and has published extensively in high-impact clinical and scientific journals. He is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer in Haematology at the University of Oxford and has lectured locally, regionally, and nationally. In addition, he co-chairs the Thames Valley regional myeloma multi-disciplinary team meeting and is part of the Medical Advisory Committee for the patient charity WMUK.
