Mr. Ilyas Arshad is a highly esteemed Consultant Gynaecologist and the Clinical Lead for the BSGE Accredited Endometriosis Centre at Liverpool Women’s Hospital. He also serves as the Chair for the Cheshire and Merseyside Endometriosis Group, reflecting his leadership and expertise in the field. Renowned for his proficiency in minimal access surgery, Mr. Arshad specializes in treating complex conditions such as endometriosis, adenomyosis, pelvic pain, fibroids, and menstrual disorders. His surgical expertise is complemented by advanced training in laparoscopic techniques, acquired at the prestigious BSGE-accredited Endometriosis Centre in Oxford. Additionally, he is skilled in robotic surgery and actively mentors other surgeons aspiring to specialize in this area. Mr. Arshad’s dedication to advancing his field is evidenced by the BSGE Travelling Fellowship Award he received in 2019. This accolade enabled him to pursue advanced endometriosis training under the guidance of Professor Horace Roman, a world-renowned specialist in bowel-related endometriosis and nerve-sparing surgery. In addition to his clinical work, Mr. Arshad holds an MSc in Medical Education and serves as a clinical supervisor for PhD research students at the University of Liverpool.
