Dr. Ibrahim Al Bakir is a Consultant Luminal Gastroenterologist with specialist expertise in inflammatory bowel disease, gastro-oesophageal reflux, oesophageal motility disorders, and advanced colonoscopy. As a national endoscopy trainer and the secretary-elect of the colorectal section of the British Society of Gastroenterology, he plays a key role in advancing gastroenterological care and education. Dr. Al Bakir's research interests focus on bowel cancer surveillance in inflammatory bowel disease. He holds a medical degree from Oxford University and completed his PhD at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. His expertise includes inflammatory bowel disease, gastro-oesophageal reflux, oesophageal motility disorders, and advanced colonoscopy.
