About

Hesham Elagami is an experienced paediatric surgeon and urologist with over 16 years of clinical practice, including four years as a consultant within the NHS. He specialises in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of paediatric urological and surgical conditions, with a focus on delivering safe, effective, and child-centred care.

His expertise includes the treatment of undescended testes, circumcision, hydroceles, hypospadias, and varicocele, as well as the management of congenital kidney and urinary tract anomalies. He is also highly skilled in advanced techniques such as laparoscopy and robotic surgery, alongside procedures including cystoscopy and urodynamic studies. In addition, he manages complex conditions such as incontinence and neuropathic bladder.

Mr Elagami has a strong academic background and has published peer-reviewed research on topics including spina bifida, hypospadias, foreskin pathologies, and the effectiveness of virtual consultations in paediatric urology.

His clinical interests include the management of the undescended testis, the “wetting child” (paediatric urinary incontinence), obstructive urinary tract conditions, vesicoureteric reflux, and hydroceles. He is committed to providing evidence-based, tailored treatment plans to support optimal outcomes for his young patients.
