Dr Lever graduated from UCL Medical School and completed his specialist training in Rheumatology and General Medicine within a prestigious North London rotation. He has extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of rheumatological and musculoskeletal conditions. He tailors treatment to the individual patient.

Dr Lever has particular expertise in sarcoidosis, including complex multi-system disease, and has extensive experience in managing autoimmune diseases such as Rheumatoid Arthritis, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Sjogren’s syndrome, Scleroderma, Vasculitis, Polymyositis and Dermatomyositis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Reactive Arthritis, and other Connective Tissue Disorders.

He regularly treats patients with joint pain, arthritis, gout, pseudogout, osteoarthritis, polymyalgia rheumatica, fibromyalgia, and Raynaud’s disease. His clinical practice also encompasses mechanical and soft tissue conditions including back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, knee pain, wrist pain, tennis elbow, bursitis, tendinopathy, and carpal tunnel syndrome.

Dr Lever manages osteoporosis proactively. Aiming to provide the best possible care to prevent fractures. 

Throughout his training, Dr Lever developed a strong grounding in general rheumatology with a specialist interest in lupus, vasculitis, scleroderma, and sarcoidosis. He is extensively published in the field, with academic expertise in gene regulation and more recent publications focusing on the patient journey, the doctor–patient relationship, and the psychological impact of chronic autoimmune disease. He is therefore uniquely equipped to deliver holistic, patient-centred care.

Dr Lever is based at the NHS Whittington Trust and places a strong emphasis on the appropriate use of biologic therapies in his practice. He works collaboratively with colleagues in orthopaedics, respiratory medicine, gastroenterology, and dermatology to provide comprehensive multidisciplinary care.
