About
Dr. Watkin is a Consultant Cardiologist with over a decade of experience in treating and investigating heart disorder symptoms related to cardiac conditions. He sees private patients at The Harborne Hospital.
Dr. Watkin obtained his primary medical qualification from the University of Birmingham and completed his basic and specialist cardiology training in the West Midlands. He earned his Medical Doctorate at the University of Birmingham following research on infective endocarditis. Appointed as a Consultant in 2009, he has also become an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Birmingham. He has been awarded a fellowship of the European Society of Cardiology for his contributions to cardiovascular health and scientific excellence.
Dr. Watkin is an accredited consultant appraiser and an examiner for the University of Birmingham Medical School alongside being a topic expert for NICE and a reviewer for the National Institute for Health Research.
